Katie Hopkins: Fine Artist
Katie Hopkins is a California-based artist who uses her foundation of color theory to create balanced compositions featuring an attentive use of light and shadow. Her artworks predominantly reflect her fascination with nature and West Coast landscapes. Raised in New Jersey as a third generation artist, Hopkins was encouraged to experiment with diverse mediums and currently sketches and paints with watercolors, oils and acrylics.
Inspiration
Hopkins has deep roots in Fine Art, and is heavily influenced by masters such as Cezanne, Monet, and Renoir. Their influences can be seen in her paintings, which have been the subject of several major exhibitions and found homes in private collections.
Working with young artists has also influenced her artistic approach and challenges Hopkins to view art through an alternate lens.
